HEART SHRINE RELICE TOUR 2011

International Buddhist Foundation of Canada & Bat Nha Pagoda, Calgary Vietnamese Buddhist Cultural Centre are pleased to host an inspiring exhibition of ancient and Sacred Buddhist Relics in Calgary on August 26, 27 and 28, 2011..

This unique and unbelievably precious collection include the Relics of Shakyamuni Buddha, Kasyapa Buddha, Buddha’s disciple as well as many other revered Buddhist Masters from Chinese, Tibetan and Indian Traditions.

Throughout the event there will be opportunities for visitors to participate in Blessing Ceremonies, the relics of the Buddha will be gently placed on the crown of the visitor’s head as a special blessing.

WHEN: August 26, 27 & 28.

Friday, August 26 Opening Ceremony

Saturday & Sunday from 10pm to 7pm

ADMISSION: Free and open to all faith – donations welcome

All funds raised from this tour will be used to build a 500ft Maitreya Buddha statue, a magnificent monument to loving-kindness intended to awaken global awareness and inspire people everywhere to think and act with kindness, thereby bring peace to individuals, communities and the world. The project will also provide, free of charge, spiritual, education and healthcare facilities in Kushinagar, one of the poorest areas in northern India.
